Prof. Dr. Shotaro Hayashi
Shotaro Hayashi is currently an associate professor of Department of Applied Chemistry at National Defense Academy. He was born in Hiroshima, Japan in 1982. He received Ph.D (2010) from Tokyo Institute of Technology. He moved to National Defense Academy as an assistant professor in 2010. He received Nippon Shokubai Co., Ltd. Award in Synthetic Organic Chemistry, Japan (2015), Award for Encouragement of Research in Polymer Science; the Society of Polymer Science, Japan (2018). His current research interests are (i) supramolecular polymers and crystals of π-conjugated molecules, and (ii) Pd-catalyzed cross-coupling synthesis of π-conjugated polymers.
